Significant change brings opportunities

The NHS is going through radical change which will see the 10 Strategic Health authorities and the 152 primary care trusts (PCTs) abolished by March 2013. Commissioning will be carried out by groups of GPs overseen by an Independent NHS board. Add to this the divestment of community services by PCTs by 31 March 2011, there are many opportunities to be involved.

These changes present opportunities for organisations, whether they are social enterprise businesses, commercial organisations taking on new contracts, or GP commissioning groups.  However to successfully win, integrate and manage in the new environment, may require new skills.
